  5. These databases contain CPT surgical codes only along with limited RVU information.  TealInfo, a shareware database program is required to view the files.  A demo copy of TealInfo is included in this set of files.  No modifier descriptions are included.

These CPT descriptions are in medium length format and DO NOT contain the full text descriptions in the standard CPT. This reference should only be used as an adjunct to the standard CPT.  There are extensive instructions in the actual CPT not included in this software.  All coding should be verified by certified coding professionals.

  9. RVU information is derived from the HCFA National Physician Fee Schedule Relative Value File.  The specific number displayed is the Transitioned Non-Facility Total RVU value.  Please refer to HCFA RVU information for details regarding the meaning of this data.
